Shipping & Delivery  

All orders placed in our online shop are packed and shipped (with love) from our shop in Denmark.

We strive to have all orders packed and shipped within 2 days from the time you place the order. 
Our current statistics say that 90% of all orders are shipped within 24 hours (during work days)!

Shipping time depends on your destination. 
To most European countries, the shipping time is around 3-5 days. 
Outside Europe it might take a little longer - normally aorund 10-15 days to USA, Canada, Australia etc. 

We ship orders with GLS and PostNord (DPD). 

When you place your order, you can chose the shipping method that suits you best, whether you want home delivery or delivery to a pick up point. 

All orders are sent with tracking, so once the order is packed and ready to go, you will receive an email with shipping confirmation and tracking information for the shipment.

Yes!

Once your order is packed and ready to go, you will receive an email from our shipping partner, Shipmondo. This email contains a link to track the shipping status of your order.
If it has been more than a few days since you placed your order, and you haven't received a tracking email, please check your spam folder.

You are...

All customs and fees that might be applied to the shipment on it's way to you, if you live outside EU is paid by you as the recipient.

We do our best to mark the package and fullfill the proper requirements to minimize the cost of customs, but in the end, you hold the final responsibility of paying any charge that might be applied.

Oh no! We're so sorry about that!

Since we're only humans, mistakes can (and do) happen. And when they do, we put you on top priority to have it brought to order. 

So if you receive your order and something is missing, or something is damaged - or whatever didn't make you happy when opening the package, please send us an email right away to shop@metermeter.dk, and we will fix it!

Yes - when placing an order online you can choose “Pick up at the store in Aarhus” under step 2: Shipping Methods.

We will send you an email when the order is packed and ready for pick up. 

 

 

Shopping & Placing an order  

No. You can shop and place orders without creating an account. 

However, if you create an account you will be able to save products on your wishlist for later, save your address information for next time and see all your previous and current orders in your account.
You can create an account right now by clicking here - or you can do it when you check out and place your order. 

If you placed an order, and did not receive an order confirmation email within 5-10 minutes, please start by checking your spam folder. 

It could also be, that you accidentally typed your email address wrong, so the order confirmation couldn't be delivered to you. 
If you wonder if eveything is OK, please don't hesistate to contact us. You can write an email to shop@metermeter.dk.

Yes, of course!

We made it very easy to order fabric samples for all the products in our online shop.
Here's how you do:

1. Find the fabric

2. Click BUY SAMPLE (0,70 EUR/pcs) just below the ADD TO CART button on the product page

3. The sample is added to the shopping cart

3. You can add more samples and other fabrics, patterns etc.

You can order as many fabric samples as you want, and they only cost 0,70 EUR/pcs. We cut them so they are at least 5x5 cm - often larger.

If you place an order with only fabric samples, we offer a reduced shipping price, starting from 4 euro.

We know how frustrating it is to start sewing only to realize that you don't have thread matching the fabric, and the nearest fabric shop is far away.
We also know how difficult it is to order matching thread in an online shop, where you can't see the fabric and the thread together.

So, we offer to match fabric and thread for you.

1. Find the fabric you need matching thread for in the shop

2. Click BUY MATCHING THREAD just below the ADD TO CART button on the product page


The thread is Gütermann all-round polyester thread in 200 m rolls.

If we, for some reason, are not able find a matching thread, we will contact you to find a solution.
If you have special instructions, like a darker og lighter thread, please fill in a note in the comments field on the payment page. 

If you buy more than one piece of fabric you can easily order thread for all of them - just remember to use the BUY THREAD button on each fabric. 

You don't have to buy fabric to buy thread. If you have previously bought fabric and need thread for it, you just find it the shop and add thread to the shopping cart wihtout adding the fabric.

We don’t care much for fabric waste, so you can buy the exact amount you need for your project.

If you need 1,75 m, you just write 1,75 m in the amount box on the product page. The minimum we allow is 10 cm (0,1 meter).

If the product is still available in the online shop, but listed as sold out, it is because we plan to re-stock it. 

The products we don't plan to re-stock are not available in the shop once they sell out. 

If you want to know when a product is back in stock, you can sign up for an email notification on the product page. Then you receive an email the minute we put it back in stock. 

Payment & Order handling  

 

We strive to pack and ship your orders as quickly as possible, which means that, during daytime, we might start to pack your order right away if there is no order queue when you place your order.

If you want to make a change to your order, you must contact us right away by sending an email to shop@metermeter.dk.

Our general policy is that changes and cancellations received after 1 hour since your placed your order are not accepted, since we probably already cut the fabric and prepared it for pick up by the shipping company. 

We strive to pack and ship your orders as quick as possible, which means that, during daytime, we might start to pack your order right away if there is no order queue when you place your order.
If you want to add something to your order, you can do it as long as you haven't received a shipping notification email.

The best way to add more to an existing order, is to place another order in the shop, and write a comment to ship with the previous order. 
We will pack the two orders together, and deduct the shipping cost for the last order manually before processing the payment, so you only pay for the shipping once.

We accept credit cards for online payment (VISA, Master Card etc.) and we also accept payment via PayPal. 

If, for some reason, you are not able to make the payment either with card or PayPal, please contact us, and we will see what we can do. Please write an email to shop@metermeter.dk.

At the Checkout page step 3: Payment Method you can choose to pay with a gift card by clicking and entering your gift card code (This code contains a mix of letters and numbers). Click the button “Apply”.

If the order amount is higher than the gift card value, you can pay the rest with card or PayPal. 
If the order amount is less than the gift card value, you can use the remaining balance on your gift card later.  

You can choose to shop in etiher DKK (Danish kroner) or Euro. 

The amount charged on your credit card/bank account will be in your local currrency. The currency exchange is handled and calculated by our payment provider based on the current rate. 

General matters  

Yes, we do! You are more than welcome to visit us in our store in Aarhus (Denmark). You will find us at the address Sankt Pauls Kirkeplads 7, 8000 Aarhus C.
Our opening hours are 10-17 Mon-Fri and 10-14 on Saturdays.

We are a retail shop, so we do not sell fabric on wholesale conditions. 
However, if you are a fashion designer or the like, and wish to purchase larger amounts of fabric, please contact us at shop@metermeter.dk and we can tell you more about the options. 
We do not sell wholesale to other fabric shops.

Unlike most other fabric shops, we actually accept returns on all* products - even fabrics that are cut for you in a specific length. 

If you wish to return a fabric, please contact us at shop@metermeter.dk no later than 14 days after you received it. 
Tell us which fabric(s) you wish to return and why - and wait for our confirmation.
Once we confirm, please send them within 5 days.

You must pack the return item(s) properly, so they are not damaged on their way back here. 
All shipping costs to return an item is held by you. 
Once we receive the item, we will process a refund to your credit card (or PayPal). We do not refund the shipping costs from the original order, only the amount paid for the product. 

*we do not accept returns for the following products:

- fabric cut to order under 1 m
- fabric that is washed, cut or in any other way used
- patterns that are opened and clearly shows signs of usage or damage
- scissors or other tools where the packing is broken or damaged
- remnants that are purchased at discounted price
- fabrics cut to order that are purchased at discounted price from our Discounted category

If you have purchased a product from us, and you wish to show it on your blog, social media etc., you are more than welcome to use our photos. We do appreciate it very much if you put a reference to us by tagging or linking, when you do so.

We like to keep the inbox clean, so we will get back to you as soon as possible. Normally within a day - but most often within a couple of hours.

You can unsubscribe the newsletter by doing:

1. Find a newsletter email you have received from us. 

2. Scroll to the buttom of the email and click 'unsubscribe from the newsletter here'.

3. Easy, you will no longer receive newsletter emails from us.

The Fabric Club  

The Fabric Club is our way of bringing the fabric shop to you, if you can't come to the fabric shop.

The Fabric Club is based on a monthly subscription membership, where you are charged automatically every month for your membership (17,90 euro). 

As a member you will receive a sample box every month, you can shop with member discounts on more than 400 products in the shop - and more!

You can cancel your membership any time you want. There is absolutely no commitment. 

If you have decided to leave, you sign in to your account, and go to the Membership page in your account area. 

Click the membership, scroll to the bottom and click Cancel Subscription. 

You can also send us an email to shop@metermeter.dk, and we can do it for you. 

The sample boxes are sent with tracking, and when we ship them you will receive a link to track your box on its way to you. 

If, for some reason, you haven't received the box, please contact us at shop@metermeter.dk

No. 

We make a selection every month for the box, and all members will the receive the same samples in the box. 
We do our very best to make the selections, so every box contains different types of fabric. 

No. It is not possible to pause your membership.

If you want to take a break, you have to cancel your membership, and then sign up again for a new subscription when you want back in.

Every time you place an order, the system will automatically register the member points you earn (10% of the order amount). 

Don't forget to sign in to your account when you place an order to register the points.

When you sign in to your account, you can see an overview on the Member Page of the brands and products included in the membership disocunt. 

When you browse products in the shop, all the products with member discounts have a blue label on them with MEMBER DISCOUNT. 
You must be signed in to your account to see this.
